Gifts
from the Heart...
Memorial and honor gifts to PPDE allow you to thoughtfully
remember people who have been a vital part of your life while
providing support to the critical services that Planned Parenthood
of Delaware provides to the community. A gift to our Tribute
fund is an especially meaningful way to pay homage to a friend
or family member concerned about helping others to make responsible
choices. |

Gifts
for the future...
Members of our Legacy Society have made planned gifts to PPDE
through bequests, gifts of insurance, gift annuities, charitable
remainder trusts, and other means. Through these gifts they
have committed to leaving a lasting legacy to benefit the
services they have supported in their lifetime. If you have
made such a commitment (or would like to) please contact our
Development office at 655-7296 ext. 33.

Understanding
the Difference...
Many
people have difficulty understanding the difference between Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Inc. (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood of Delaware, Inc. (PPDE).
PPDE is the Delaware member affiliate of PPFA, and is
one of 126 such affiliates in the continental United States
and Hawaii. As
a local affiliate, PPDE provides direct clinical reproductive
health care services to men and women, education on sexual
health issues to our patients and the general community, and
advocates to insure access to reproductive health care services
for anyone who requests them.
PPFA,
in its role as the national organization, is the accrediting
body for the affiliates. In order to use the Planned Parenthood
name and logo, each affiliate must adhere to standards defined
by PPFA. These standards encompass everything including medical
practices, administration, finance, and board activities. |
